The Key to Healing is Feeling
Do you suffer with pain or overwhelming tension? Do you struggle with respiratory ailments or inflammation? Are you looking to take your healing to a new level?
Myofascial Release in a Salt Room at the salty web can help you with all of these and more. . .
Why MFR? Why release fascia?
Since fascia connects everything in the body, restricted fascia can impact the entirety of the system. Rather than focusing on symptoms or only treating the site of the pain, Myofascial Release (MFR) looks at the whole body to identify and treat the root of the problem. Addressing deep restrictions in the fascia also changes the internal environment that allowed the dysfunction to develop in the first place. MFR gets permanent results by setting the stage for the body to heal naturally, just as it was designed to do.
What is a Salt Room?
A Salt Room provides halotherapy (dry salt therapy), a natural treatment that aids respiratory and skin conditions. A halogenerator grinds and disperses micron-sized salt particles into the salt room air. The dry salt acts like a sponge attracting foreign substances along its path through the respiratory tract, removing build-up of foreign elements that cause various respiratory ailments and conditions. Inhaled dry salt particles may also help to reduce inflammation in the entire respiratory tract and widen the airway passages. A clean respiratory system naturally results in higher oxygen intake, increased energy, and an improved immune system.

Why is MFR different?
An essential rule when treating fascia is never to use force, but most popular methods that claim to release fascia — like foam rolling, deep tissue massage, and Rolfing — use force. When overstretched or forced, fascia braces to protect, and this adds more tension to the system. Rather than releasing fascia, at best, these methods merely stretch out the elastic component temporarily, much like a rubber band. They don't effectively release the collagen component. So, like a stretched rubber band, that elastic component of the fascia soon springs back and tightens up again. Releasing that tough collagen component requires gentle pressure held over a sustained period. This approach is why JFB-MFR gets true releases and leads to lasting change.
